With LONGJOHN on the run the cowboys kidnap a tram and hijack the passengers into a cineastic scenery of western movies. A bicylcle parade becomes a buffalo herd and strange smoke signals are rising in the air. What is staged and what pure coincidence, that remains a mystery.
For the technical creators of LONGJOHN the special challenge was to get the control and amplification of the playback samples mobile and self-sufficient. Finally it worked thanks to powerful bluetooth boxes! Big fun for actors and audience!
The mobile version LONGJOHN on the run is a collaboration of Der Weisse Knopf and Servicepionieren. Actually searching for other opportunities to perform this site specific theatre play. Best: if there is a tram in your city (if not: don't worry, we will find another adventure taylormade for your place!) Please have a look at this little link with teaser:
Die mobile Version LONGJOHN auf der Flucht ist eine Zusammenarbeit von Der Weisse Knopf und den Servicepionieren. Überall dort aufzuführen, wo es eine Straßenbahn gibt ... und wenn es keine gibt, fällt LONGJOHN was anderes ein! Wie z.B. damals in Köln Ostheim ... hier ein Link mit kleinem Video

20.1.2019 SPRING at sadler's Wells during MIME Festival LONDON
Finally, after more than 20 years of creative juggling, Gandini Juggling will have arrived on the main stage production at Sadler’s Wells - with its latest production SPRING! Gandini Juggling is happy to announce 3 nights of fabulous shows of an extended version of Spring Jan 31 - Feb 2. Recommended in the Guardian as one of the Dance shows to see this week in London.
After excursions into ballet with 4x4: Ephemeral Achitectures and Bharatanatyam dance in Sigma, Gandini Juggling joins forces with Sadler’s Wells New Wave Associate, Alexander Whitley, (The Royal Ballet, BalletBoyz, Rambert, Birmingham Royal Ballet) to take object manipulation and contemporary dance into new territories.
Featuring five jugglers and four dancers, with special guest appearance from juggling wonderkid Wes Peden, Spring explores the nature of colour in a kaleidoscope of deconstructed rhythms and patterns. It’s spectacular, fun, funky, complex and performed to an original, ‘baroque meets techno’ score by leading London composer, Gabriel Prokofiev, with lighting by multi-award winning designer, Guy Hoare. London International Mime Festival (LIMF) was founded in 1977 by producer, Joseph Seelig, at the instigation of mime-clown, Nola Rae. He was joined by Helen Lannaghan as co-director in 1986. It is the Capital’s longest established international theatre season.Taking place each January, its programme spans the spectrum of contemporary visual performance including live art, physical and circus-theatre, mask, puppetry, movement and object theatre.
The extraordinary success story of SANDDORN BALANCE began more than 20 years ago. In 1996, the Swiss theatre producer Mädir Eugster Rigolo created a balancing act for the stage production SANDDORN. The play is set in knee-deep sand; the only props are the withered ribs of date and coconut palm leaves, which Mädir Eugster Rigolo collected from the most beautiful beaches in the world. This was the birth of SANDDORN BALANCE – one of the most stunning acts the world has ever seen. SANDDORN BALANCE has enchanted countless audiences ever since, irrespective of culture, age or education. The performance can been seen in a variety of shows and circuses, in theatres, museums and opera houses. For many years, Mädir Eugster Rigolo was the only performer. Only a few years ago, the secret of SANDDORN BALANCE was given to some excellent artists who are now presenting exciting moments to audiences all over the world. Among these excellent artists, you will find Mädir's daughters: Lara Jacobs Rigolo, who is performing Sandorn Balance with Cirque du Soleil show Amaluna, and lately also Marula Eugster Rigolo, who performed Sanddorn Balance in Rigolo's stage Wings and now - in Jan 2019 - arrives to the stage of Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain where young artists from all over the world present their arts and acts. Probably is not just a coincidence that the 40th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain meets the celebrations of Rigolo's 40th anniversary.

15.12.2018 SPRING : at Sadlers' Wells during MIME Festival, London 2019
It took 25 years - but now, finally. Gandini Juggling enter the big stages of Sadler's Wells, one of London's most influental theatre venues. During the MIME festival, from Jan 31 till Fab 2, Gandini Juggling will present their latest creation SPRING which is a creation by director Sean Gandini and choreographer Alexander Whitley and joins forces of jugglings arts and contemporary dance with original music by Gabriel Prokoviev. This new large-scale show is a result of their time flirting with various neighbouring art forms, sharing a common core in their rhythms and bringing these cousins together to explore the relationships between them.
With the talents on display primal and emblematicSPRING is set to be a spectacular, transendant and colourful staging, performed to an original score. Featuring virtuosic jugglers and contemporary dancers the piece will take these tangible and visceral art forms into new territories and further establish the relationships between them. Embracing deconstructed rhythms and jubilant patterning - concepts of self referentiality will be visited and the score itself will be taken into the work using text to introduce fragments of narrative. SPRING follows on from the Gandini’s successful forays in ballet and theatre delving deeper into their obsession with juggling as pure choreography. This new large-scale show is a result of their time flirting with various neighbouring art forms, sharing a common core in their rhythms and bringing these cousins together to explore the relationships between them.
After incredibly successful touring all over Europe, cia de Circo "eia" is heading to Montréal, CA, where they will present inTarsi at CINARS, one the world's most important meeting points for theatre professionals and curators. Rigolo's Sanddorn Balance is wellknown worldwide for its appearances in cabaret, show, TV and gala events. but we should not forget that Sanddorn Balance was created as scene of a theatre play. More and more, Sanddorn Balance is returning back to its roots and we note a growing distribution in dance and theatre productions, invitations to concerts and exhibitions. One example is Rigolo's participation in the theatre play "Exodus" by Belgian company Théâtre d'un Jour. "Exodus" is invited now to LaMama Theatre in New York.
"Exodus" is a stirring play about migration and the hopelessness that drives people to leave their homeland. Sanddorn Balance shows in Exodus moments of a fragile beauty that changes the perception of reality and reveals the delicate nature of balance and the transience of life.
"Exodus" ist ein aufwühlendes Theaterstück über Migration und die Ausweglosigkeit, die Menschen dazu bewegt, ihre Heimat zu verlassen. Die Sanddorn Balance zeigt in "Exodus" Momente einer fragilen Schönheit, die die Wahrnehmung der Realität verändert und die zarte Natur des Gleichgewichts und der Vergänglichkeit des Lebens offenbart. A disturbing symbol for the current situation of the refugees in front of the "Fortress Europe". After almost 100 performances in Europe, "Exodus" is now invited to New York, appearances there at LaMama November 15 - 18.
